Amidst the ongoing global pandemic, PokerBaazi.com along with its player community came together to support Friendicoes, Delhis oldest animal shelter, to provide crucial aid to stray dogs who have been left unattended during the crisis. The initiative was part of the #FeltsForStrays campaign started by PokerBaazi on 24th March, 2020, providing food to over 600 stray dogs on a daily basis on the streets of New Delhi. Led by Anirudh Chaudhry – Co-Founder & COO, the campaign donated over 10 lakhs to the cause.
Coronavirus has been a major issue all around the world. To make sure that everyone stays safe, the government of India ruled a nationwide lockdown in which several daily wage workers who lost their jobs and were left without daily necessities. BalleBaazi joined forces with GiveIndia to provide such people with the essentials they need. We ran a Hero in need campaign in which we asked our users to donate their BB coins in order to distribute masks and meals to the less fortunate and also, we generated awareness towards the cause through our channels.
With the nation going on lockdown for 21 days, daily wages workers such as hawkers, rickshaw pullers, rag pickers as well as individuals who lost their jobs were left without a source of income or sustenance. We joined the cause of Delhi Youth Welfare Association to help those in need and make sure no one was left without food and daily use items. For this, we donated the entire tournament fee from our PMVS Special Edition Main Event, a series organised specially to keep people indoors and playing, as well as generated awareness towards the cause through our channels.
In our efforts to uplift the lives of underprivileged girl-children, Baazi Games joined hands with a non-profit organization KHUSHII. In April 2019, we sponsored tuition fees, uniform, mid-day meals and books for 40 girl-children for a year from the fee collected during our flagship poker tournament – PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) Special Edition. Continuing with this noble cause, we were able to take this tally up to 50 girls through our Independence Day charity events on PokerBaazi.com, BalleBaazi.com & RummyBaazi.com. PokerBaazi team partnered with Conserve India and visited the banks of river Yamuna. They spent a day collecting the plastic waste from the river and educated the locals to upcycle the waste into useful products. We also raised INR 2 LAC through an online poker charity tournament and donated towards this cause.baazicare@pokerbaazi.com
