National Poker Series Day 5 Wrap
Five days in, and the National Poker Series India 2025 is already delivering high-stakes drama, unforgettable moments and a leaderboard that’s shifting faster than a river card! With 105 players already clinching Gold, Silver or Bronze and pocketing massive prizes, the battle for supremacy is more intense than ever.
PokerBaazi Team Pro Zarvan Tumboli – a titan on the live felts, has been proving his online prowess with a performance that screams championship material.
While it looked like Tumboli’s reign would continue, UP’s champion Vikhyat Ahlawat has proved us wrong!
Turning the tables, Ahlawat who was ranked at #4 after Day 4 charged ahead of Tumboli, walloping into charge.
Already owning 4 medals (1 Silver, 3 Bronze) Ahlawat has been playing like a true Boss, determined to add a Gold to his name and he did! Since Monday, Ahlawat has bagged not one but 2 Gold medals:
- Gold in NPS#12 Monday Marathon (9.55 LAC) on Feb 24
- Gold in NPS#29 (7-Max) SPRINT (3.94 LAC) on Feb 27
Ahlawat has picked a super-impressive 15.72 LAC from 26 cashes – 5 of them on Day 5 alone! No wonder he has added a solid 10 points to his kitty, bringing his Leaderboard Score to 20.
Tumboli is coming off a rather sluggish 2 days in the series. He added 3 cashes on Day 4, and another 5 on Day 5. That said, he holds his sails at 20 points.
Clearly Ahlawat is setting the pace like a true front-runner. But here’s the kicker – others are making their move!
Who’s Running Hot, Who’s Not?
With every passing day, new challengers are emerging, ready to shake up the leaderboard and snatch that top spot!
Gujarat’s Mohit Bohra Rockets to #3!
Mohit Bohra ‘bullets777’ is making his presence felt in a big way! With 17 cashes in five days, he first made waves with a Silver in NPS#6 Marathon (4 LAC) on Day 1. But Thursday was his true breakout moment – shipping NPS#27 Slamdunk (2.45 LAC) for his first-ever Gold! Bohra is climbing fast, and with momentum on his side, the real question is – can he go all the way?
Chandigarh’s Poker Sensation Ashish Ahuja Makes a Grand Entry!
A poker warrior with accolades to his name, Ashish Ahuja ‘rocky3705’, a former The MoneyMaker and WPT India Online champ, has officially thrown his hat in the ring! The Chandigarh crusher has already racked up 20 cashes, with a Silver in his bag. But his defining moment came on Wednesday, when he claimed his first NPS Gold in NPS#22 (4-Max) Hyper (4.22 LAC)! Keep your eyes on him, he’s just getting started!
Karnataka’s Jaikiran Kumar is One to Watch!
Another powerhouse making waves is Jaikiran Kumar ‘testify’. Already an NPS India medalist (1 Gold, 1 Silver) from previous editions, he’s back for more! Wednesday saw him add another massive accolade – his second Gold in NPS#28 (7-Max) SPRINT (6.76 LAC). While he has slipped to Rank #11 after Day 5, this is a player who knows how to win and he’s gunning for more!
