The 35 Crore GTD WPT Online Series on PokerBaazi has passed the halfway point, with four of the eight coveted WPT trophies already claimed. This week’s Skill Scoreboard Weekly Update takes a deep dive into the key developments from December 9-15, highlighting the movers and shakers who made waves on the tournament tables.

For those unfamiliar, the Skill Scoreboard is a fresh addition to PokerBaazi, designed to assess a player’s skill based on their performance in the last 100 tournaments played. The Skill Score is calculated through six key metrics, offering valuable insight into your own gameplay as well as that of any opponent.

Here’s a look at the top performers over the past week, as the WPT Online series continued to captivate players:

Kabir Chhatwal Maintains #1 Spot, But Avneesh Munjal Makes Rapid Climb
Competition is heating up! Kabir Chhatwal aka ‘Ksc7’ – the Delhi-based player who championed the 2024 G.O.A.T.,’ continues to dominate the Skill Scoreboard, holding firm in the #1 position with a Skill Score of 996.

Poker talent Avneesh Munjal ‘iamam’ went on a rampage this week storming into #2. The Gurgaon-based former Chemical Engineer championed the WPT#31 Bounty Hunter trumping a field of 919 entries (496 unique) for his career’s second WPT title and ₹11.25 LAC! (bounties excluded).

With 22 WPT cashes for winnings over ₹18.58 LAC, Munjal orchestrated a stellar rise up the Skill Scoreboard of 25 ranks, also becoming our “Royal Riser of the Week.”

Incidentally, Munjal who topped the 2023 NPS Series Leaderboard has also positioned himself at #2 rank on the 50 CR WPT Player of the Series Leaderboard with 7,590 points.

Munjal’s rise has pushed Gadadhar Behera’ gd1921’ (995 (~)) and Haider Madraswala ‘Clickbait446’ (995 (+1)) by one rank each.

Featuring prominently on the Skill Scoreboard, Uttam Gope ‘brokenpocker’ has climbed one rung to Rank 5, on the back of 25 WPT cashes (~₹6.74 LAC). Additionally, Gope is currently ranked 3rd on the WPT Player of the Series Leaderboard, amassing an impressive 7,560 points.

Gaurav Sood ‘gaug17’, the Gurgaon-based former dentist is having an exceptional inning at the WPT Online Series. This week, Sood cashed cashed 17 tournaments, winning three of them for a week’s score of ₹14.25 LAC. His remarkable performance propelled him up the rankings by 806 spots, landing him at Rank 6. With a Skill Score of 994, an increase of 81 points, Sood stands out as our player of the week.

Satyam Verma ‘satyamverma25’ has pushed his way up into the seventh rank, rising up by seven ranks, and an enviable Skill Score of 992 (+2). Verma rocked the show with 20 WPT cashes worth ₹15.30 LAC! He won the WPT#39 Monsterstack for ₹7.50 LAC, in addition to another two FT finishes.

Delhi lad Yuvraj Bhardwaj ‘treys’ earned his first WPT title by triumphing in the WPT#9 Warm-Up, bagging ₹11.56 LAC. Bharadwaj surged into the 9th rank (↑13) with a Skill Score of 991 (+4).

Meanwhile, Raj Keshari ‘Kedarnathjanah’ fell three ranks into the 10th place with a Skill Score of 991 (-1).

Anirban D Das ‘pottysingh’ made a significant jump in the rankings with his runner-up finish in Sunday’s WPT#43 Milestone, earning a prize of ₹9.2 LAC. This strong performance has pushed Das to Rank #13 with a Skill Score of 991.

Mohit Mehta ‘Thejoker- the former #25 The MoneyMaker runner-up, also had an impressive week, securing two major finishes. Mehta took third place in the WPT#37 (PLO-5) Highroller (₹6.07 LAC) on December 14. A day later, he clinched victory in the WPT#45 (7-Max) Turbo (₹5.63 LAC). These accomplishments helped Mehta rise to Rank #17 with a Skill Score of 990.

Top Scorer of the Week
Tahir Uddin aka ‘Pokerman84’ had a surreal Sunday run on the tables. Playing on PokerBaazi since just two months the 44-year old player from Shillong, Meghalaya topped 2,177 entries (1,393 unique) in 2 CR GTD WPT Mini Main Event on Sunday, December 15.

Tahir has been playing poker for 2-3 years now, and is a regular at Shillong’s card rooms. His victory marks his first-ever tournament title for a career-best score of ₹30 LAC!

Tahir’s skill rank has jumped to 288 (↑20,585) & Skill Score to 947 (+485).
